Výhody tejto klávesnice / Advantages of This Keyboard Layout:

Ak dávate prednosť klávesu Y v hornom rade a klávesu Z v spodnom rade, môžete si nainštalovať tú verziu reformovanej klávesnice, v ktorej sú klávesy Y a Z podľa vzoru britskej a americkej klávesnice vymenené (variant ERTY).
Reformovanú klávesnicu môžete používať paralelne so zaužívanou slovenskou klávesnicou. Na funkčnosť Vašej doterajšej slovenskej klávesnice nebude mať doinštalovanie a používanie tejto reformovanej klávesnice žiadny vplyv.
Klávesnice boli vytvorené v bezplatných programoch Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator(Windows) a Ukelele(Mac OS), kde si ich (alebo ktorúkoľvek inú klávesnicu) v prípade záujmu môžete ľahko ďalej prispôsobiť alebo pozmeniť podľa vlastných predstáv.

All Slovak diacritic letters featuring the caron (ˇ also known as “háček”) are now accessible in the keyboard layout’s three main rows. In addition, you can type upper-case Slovak letters featuring the caron in the same simple way as you type English letters without diacritics: by pressing SHIFT and the appropriate Slovak lower-case letter. In contrast, the traditional Slovak keyboard layout forces you to press no fewer than four separate keys just to type the common Slovak capital letter Š.
All Slovak diacritic letters featuring the accute accent (´) are now directly accessible in the top (numeric) row of the keypad, including the letters ó, ĺ, and ŕ that have no keys assigned to them in the traditional layout. You can also easily type upper-case Slovak diacritic letters featuring the accute accent by pressing the (right) ALT key along with the appropriate lower-case letter.
If you press the CAPS-LOCK key (located to the left of the A key) using this alternative keyboard layout, you can then without interruption type an unlimited series of upper-case Slovak letters including all Slovak diacritic letters. (In the original Slovak keyboard layout, the CAPS-LOCK key is broken because it does not work for any Slovak diacritic letters.)
In creating the new Slovak keyboard layout, the goal was to preserve as many keys as possible in their original locations, as they are familiar to us from the traditional Slovak keyboard layout. This means that you can easily and quickly get used to the new, modified keyboard layout, because it is so similar to the traditional layout.
The biggest difference between this alternative Slovak keyboard layout and the traditional layout lies in the changed location of the letters Q, X, and W whose usage in Slovak texts is extremely rare. Despite this fact, the three letters are allowed to occupy precious central space in the traditional Slovak keyboard layout. In the new Slovak layout, the three letters are shifted away from their former central locations to the periphery of the keyboard, or they may be accessed by using the ALT key.
If you prefer to access the key Y in the upper row and the key Z in the lower row of your keyboard, download the ERTY version of this alternative Slovak keyboard layout, where the keys Y and Z are interchanged, following the model of the British and US keyboard layouts.
You can use this alternative Slovak keyboard layout simultaneously with the traditional Slovak layout. Installing and using this alternative layout on your computer will not affect your usage of the traditional Slovak keyboard layout in any way.
These layouts were created in the freeware apps Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator(Windows) and Ukelele(Mac OS) that allow you (should you find it useful) to easily modify this (or any other) keyboard layout to your liking.

How To Download Slovak Keyboard For Mac Laptop

Unicode and Multilingual File Conversion, Font and Keyboard Utilities for Macintosh OS X Computers

Introduction

Mac OS X 10 did not originally include support for as many languages and scripts as Mac OS 9. Mac OS X 10.1 supported Central European, Cyrillic and Japanese, and Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese were made available as downloads. Mac OS X 10.2 introduced support for Arabic, Devanagari, Greek, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hebrew and Thai scripts. Mac OS X 10.3 introduced support for Armenian, Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics and Cherokee scripts.

Character Palette

Character Palette is a character map for Unicode 3.2 (including supplementary planes) that is supplied with Mac OS X 10.2. It is available on the Keyboard menu, not in the Applications folder. Character Palette can arrange characters by Unicode range, or display them in a table. It can show you a catalogue of the characters in a font, and a list of the fonts that contain a selected character. Characters can be inserted into another application by double-clicking them, or by dragging them, or by selecting them and then clicking the “Insert” button.

CharView

CharView is a utility that allows you to select Unicode characters from a tabular display and insert them into a document. It is activated by clicking the “C” at the top left of the screen (or a small floating icon). The characters are displayed in a series of tables, with an option to restrict the characters to those in a particular Mac encoding. Pointing at a character enlarges it and displays its hexadecimal code points. The size of the window can be changed by dragging its bottom right corner, and this also zooms the characters.

There is an option to insert characters in HTML as numeric character references (e.g. ™).

CharView is produced by ALX Software and costs US $10 to register. More information and an unregistered version (in which not all characters can be selected) are available from the CharView Web page.
