Start planning your picnic, basketball game, or cookout—we have the park space and the resources you need! Season Dates (statewide): All year Season Limit: No limit. There is no closed season for trapping or hunting coyotes. Motor vehicles and radios in vehicles may be used to hunt coyotes only. Furharvester license is required to trap and sell; hunting license is required to hunt and sell. The Hilliard Recreation and Parks department considers the safety of patrons, staff, and program participants our highest priority. In the event of inclement weather, the City of Hilliard reserves the right to close one or both pools. Aquatics programs, events and rentals take place when the average water and air temperature is at least 70 degrees.

Adel Dog Park
In 2016, we developed two acres of theAquatic Center park into a dog park (1800 S. 15th). We welcome your canine friends of all sizes—there are separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs. The dog park also features waste stations and fun obstacles for your dogs to play on! Bring your furry friends for an outing today. A pet license is required.More information and online form.
Enjoy Dallas County’s first municipal archery range! The range includes five shooting lanes that can accommodate up to 10 archers at once. The range is located just east of Fuller Petroleum (1505 Old Portland Road). A permit is required to use the archery range. Daily and annual permits available. Bailey’s Grove Park
Completed in October of 2017, Bailey’s Grove Park serves as a great neighborhood park located at the intersection of Bailey’s Grove and Shelby Drive. The park is equipped with a unique technology feature called Biba! Biba is an interactive app that provides playground games that turn equipment into “smart” play structures. Download the Biba Playground app on a smart device to play today! Other park highlights of the park include 2 sets playground equipment, swings, a perimeter sidewalk, and a Little Free Library.
Visit Brickyard Park, a 3-acre park that also serves as a trailhead for the Raccoon River Valley Trail. There are park benches, a picnic shelter, and bike racks available. Start your trip on the trail from Brickyard Park or simply enjoy its amenities for a calm morning or afternoon picnic! This park is located on S. 18th Street just north of Brickyard Road near the trail.

Clover Valley Park
This is an undeveloped 3-acre park full of greenspace tucked behind existing residential properties on South 14th Street. Future park development plans include trails and benches.
Community Stage and Pavilion
Put on a show or hold your next event at Community Stage and Pavilion! The Pavilion serves as a great gathering space for community events with the large green space and picnic tables located at 10th and Main Street.
The community stage and pavilion can be reserved for outdoor events. Reservation season runs from April 15-October 15. Fees start at $30 for Adel residents. ($40 for nonresidents). There is no charge for local nonprofit/civic organizations. View availability and reserve online at adel.activityreg.com. Reservations can also be made in person at City Hall. Please note that outdoor events with amplified sound or music may require a sound permit.
The community house can be rented through Raccoon Valley Bank.
Little League Ballfields
Whether you or your child are involved in baseball or softball, you can catch a game at the Little League Ballfields! The ballfields are located near Kinnick-Feller park (7th and Grove Street) and are regularly used for little league softball and baseball games. Batting cages and equipment storage buildings are located on the property as well. The park also features a small wooden playground structure for your children to enjoy.
Parks And Recreation Full Episodes
The Adel ball fields are in are in high demand during youth baseball, softball, and adult league seasons. Adel Parks and Recreation programs have first priority. After game and practice schedules have been made for Adel Parks and Recreation programs, the available field time will be opened to others for practice. Reservations are $15/field for 1.5 hours. Users are limited to 1 slot in any given day and 2 slots per 5 day period to ensure opportunities for all. View field availability and make reservations at adel.activityreg.com.Reservations open one month prior on the 1st.
Take a break for your bike ride at the Pedal Plaza, a small station designed for bikers to rest! Pedal Plaza is located at the intersection of Nile Kinnick Drive South (Highway 169), which runs into the town square. There are benches and drinking fountains for when you need a break, as well as a bike repair station to help get you back on the trail. An informational kiosk is available here for those unfamiliar with the area.
Adel’s newest neighborhood park features a playground that has swings, slides, modern merry-go-round and a music making piece. Park benches to be added. The playground also has inclusive and ADA compliant components making it accessible for all! The park is located at the intersection of Meadow and Roebling Road.
A network of trails currently run throughout Adel. An additional 2 miles of trails are scheduled to be added to improve connectivity throughout the city. A few areas to highlight are the paths around Kinnick-Feller Park, Evans Park, the Southbridge community, and Raccoon River Valley trail.
